Since 2021, North Sails has proudly partnered with IFAW to support the Whale Alert app, a vital tool used by mariners, scientists, and the public to report whale sightings, prevent vessel collisions, and alert first responders to distressed whales. This technology is especially critical for North Atlantic right whales. With only about 370 individuals remaining, and fewer than a quarter being reproductive females, the loss of even one whale could tip the balance toward extinction.

North Sails continues to support the expansion of Whale Alert into European waters, helping protect more whales across global migration routes.
