Munchkin
For more than 30 years, Munchkin Inc. (“Munchkin”) has produced innovative products and functional gear for children and their caregivers. The company is on a mission to be the most loved baby lifestyle brand in the world. As the only baby brand in the United Nations Global Compact, Munchkin prioritizes corporate social responsibility with commitments to environmental protection and animal welfare.
Munchkin impassions and educates parents and children about the importance of animal well-being and our shared responsibility to protect and care for our planet.
In 2019, Munchkin collaborated with IFAW to launch a new series for its best-selling sippy cup, the Miracle 360° Cup, called Wild Love cups. These Wild Love cups and packaging feature vibrant animals and habitats, along with a message of hope for the next generation of conservationists. The line has since expanded to include placemats, teethers, pacifiers, and bath squirts – introducing at-risk animals and the places they call home to families across the world.
In 2023, Munchkin announced a $1 million donation to IFAW’s Room to Roam initiative, becoming a primary corporate investor. The donation makes Munchkin the first company to lease 90,000 acres of endangered African territory that is imperative for elephant migration and survival. The brand’s annual Sustainability Report details its efforts to support and protect families – human and animal alike.
“Safeguarding the world’s most vulnerable creatures is ingrained in Munchkin’s ethos. Each year, we challenge ourselves to grow our efforts related to animal and plant conservation, and believe that a culmination of many little things truly adds up to make a big difference,” said Diana Barnes, “db,” Chief Brand Officer & Creative Director and head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Munchkin. “That’s why we joined IFAW in its initiative to protect endangered territory, and continue our work to reduce carbon emissions, plant millions of trees and innovate our products and packaging to become an ever-more sustainable organization.”
Room to Roam is urgent and ambitious. We cannot do it alone. IFAW is humbled and grateful to have a partner like Munchkin, who shares our vision to build a world where animals and people thrive together.
