CITES CoP18 Briefing Documents
Proposals to improve protection for elephants, giraffes, sharks and other species will be negotiated by government delegations attending the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), 18th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (CoP18) in Geneva, Switzerland from August 17 to 28. Decisions made by representatives of the 183 member Parties will affect the future survival of many of these animals. Find out more about the key issues and IFAW’s recommendations.
