Nicolette Kluijver
The Netherlands
Nicolette Kluijver is a well-known Dutch TV presenter, actress, and model. Born in Hilversum, she started working for TV at a young age and presented a variety of programmes, including the Dutch version of ‘Survivor’ for the past decade. Nicolette is a mother of three and cares for three dogs and her horse Guus. She is committed to protecting animals, big and small—which is why she became an IFAW Ambassador in 2022.
Nicolette leverages her public image, voice, and professional network to help raise awareness for the critical state of African elephants. She supports IFAW’s Room to Roam initiative, which secures and connects ecologically critical landscapes in East and Southern Africa, enabling over 330,000 elephants to roam freely.
In Zimbabwe, Nicolette visited an IFAW-funded project that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases orphaned elephants into secure habitats, a key part of Room to Roam. Nicolette also plans to visit project sites in Kenya to meet women who work in conservation and, like her, are trailblazers in their field.
