Patricia Zaat
Canada
Patricia Zaat was young when she first heard about the seal hunt, and she knew she had to do something. And when she grew up, she learned that you don’t have to be in the field to make a difference.
Patricia started off working in finance, human resources, and project management, gaining skills to make organizations more efficient and more effective. She was waiting for the right opportunity to use those skills to help those seals.
That opportunity came in 2000, when Patricia joined IFAW. She’s been maximizing the impact of our Canada office ever since.
Today, Patricia is our Country Director in Canada, where she oversees operations ranging from human resources to finance. She also identifies and implements IFAW’s strategic priorities for the country.
