Remote Part Time position
THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR ROLE FOR UP TO ONE YEAR
IFAW seeks a Social Marketing Contractor to work in concert with the Social Marketing Strategist and Social Marketing Coordinator to mine, draft, schedule, post, monitor mentions and engage with social media content across all of IFAW’s platforms. This role will be responsible for familiarizing themselves with IFAW’s brand guidelines, priority programs and institutional messaging to ensure social media posts reflect our brand personality while engaging with audiences in a vernacular specific to each platform.
The Social Marketing Contractor will also engage with IFAW influencers and partners across social, moderate comments and conduct competitor analyses. We are looking for a dedicated, creative candidate who is passionate about IFAW’s mission and wants to add value to a global organization.
Please be prepared to participate in a social media writing exercise if selected for an interview.
Role and Responsibilities
· Mine for content across internal resources: email, website, internal updates, Digital Asset Management system, etc.
· Draft and schedule content across IFAW’s social media channels
· Monitor and engage appropriately with social media mentions
· Assist with engaging influencers and partners both connected directly with IFAW and within the space at large
· Moderate comments and respond to inbox queries daily across channels
· Perform basic digital photo and graphic design enhancements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 2+ years experience in social media marketing required
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
· Exceptional written communication and editing skills
· Advanced knowledge of Instagram and TikTok required. Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube preferred.
· Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere
· Hands-on experience using social media for brand building and storytelling
· Prior editorial and digital fundraising experience a plus
· Ability to collaborate with others, work independently and take on tasks assigned
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring availability during working hours
