Loïs Lelanchon

Loïs Lelanchon joined IFAW in 2017 to coordinate wildlife rescue efforts in Europe and North Africa.
In his current role as Head of Program for Wildlife Rescue, Loïs leads IFAW’s Live Animals Seized in Trade (LAST) initiatives globally to help law enforcement officials implement the procedures and best practices needed to properly care for animals confiscated from wildlife trafficking. In this regard, he supervises and advises on projects to combat wildlife crime notably in Asia, Africa and South America.
As a lawyer specialized in environmental and animal law, Loïs is an advocate for legal and policy improvements to ensure synergies between global wildlife conservation and animal welfare policies and field initiatives.
