ifaw: a case for stepping up CITES enforcement in the EU

IFAW recently investigated how CITES is enforced in the European Union, and given the amount of wildlife goods being seized, how the enforcement of CITES regulations could be improved. To that end IFAW sat down with law enforcement officials from numerous EU member states and asked them, the experts, what needed to be done to better control the flow of illegal wildlife products like ivory in, out and through the EU.
