Carole Mercier
With a passion for wildlife conservation, Carole Mercier brings extensive experience in project management to IFAW, contributing to the organisation's mission of safeguarding animals and their habitat worldwide. Within the CARE project, she provides support to government agencies in the handling and care of animals seized in trade and helps to empower frontline officers who intercept trafficked live animals.
Carole strives to lead innovative change in the world of conservation, and her commitment and strategic approach help advancing initiatives for a more compassionate and sustainable coexistence with wildlife.
She holds a BA in Business Management and completed a post graduate degree with the University of Edinburgh in Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law. Her previous experience of conservation work in Kenya has given her a deep understanding of the complexities between people and wildlife, and the importance of thriving together.
