Approximately 83,000 savanna elephants, the world’s second largest population of wild elephants, can be found in Zimbabwe. Around 45,000 of them freely roam Hwange National Park, the largest national park in Zimbabwe. IFAW supports the capacity of Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority to effectively protect and manage the rich biodiversity in and around Hwange National Park.
