IFAW is providing support to Give Me A Paw, a dog shelter in Lebanon that is currently caring for numerous dogs and cats impacted by conflict. Our support will cover their expenses related to animal rescue and veterinary care, as well as the cost of food and supplies they provide to fellow shelters and rescuers, who continue to care for animals and displaced pet owners in affected areas.
Give Me A Paw is working in collaboration with LAMB and Parrot Rescue Lebanon. A joint rescue effort between the organisations saved animals trapped inside a cafe in the Beirut area—including monkeys, dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, and rabbits. The birds, monkeys, rabbits, and tortoises are now safely in the care of LAMB and Parrot Rescue Lebanon, while Give Me A Paw has taken in the cats and dogs.

IFAW is supporting our partners in Lebanon, where people evacuating have been unable to bring their pets and farm animals, and local zoos and wildlife have also been impacted.
IFAW is providing support for:
Animals Lebanon is one of IFAW’s long-standing partners. Their team is focused on supporting animals in their care, providing veterinary care for injuries, setting up temporary boarding, and helping facilitate owners evacuating with their pets and supplies.
IFAW is also in contact to support the Lebanese Association for Migratory Birds (LAMB) for animal rescue, sheltering abandoned animals and wildlife crime incidents. The LAMB team is currently taking on local cases and providing advice to others on the proper care of injured birds and other wild animals.
IFAW is dedicated to helping the people and animals impacted by this conflict and will remain in contact with local organisations to provide help where needed.
Every problem has a solution, every solution needs support.
