Als Campaigns Officer unterstützen Sie das nationale und internationale Kampagnenteam des IFAW bei der Planung, Entwicklung und Umsetzung von unseren Programm- und Kampagnenzielen, insbesondere in den Themenbereichen illegaler Wildtierhandel, Meeresschutz, Internationale Politik und Konventionen, sowie Tierrettung in Katastrophenfällen. Sie vertreten uns auf öffentlichen Veranstaltungen und helfen uns bei der Vernetzung und dem Erfahrungsaustausch mit politischen Entscheidungsträger:innen, Vertreter:innen aus dem öffentlichen und privaten Sektor und mit anderen NGOs.
Als Campaigns Officer berichten Sie in erster Linie an den Campaigns Manager (DE), stellen aber auch einen regelmäßigen Austausch mit dem Direktor für Internationale Politik (USA) und dem Länderdirektor Deutschland sicher. Die Position ist projektbezogen befristet bis zum 31. Dezember 2022.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Sie unterstützen die teamübergreifende Programmarbeit des IFAW, indem Sie konkrete Kampagnenziele und -strategien entwickeln, sowie Kampagnenpläne – inklusive wirksamer Kontroll- und Evaluierungsinstrumente – ausarbeiten und umsetzen.
- Sie beobachten die Entwicklungen rund um multilaterale Umweltkonventionen, wie etwa CITES, CMS, IPBS. Sie helfen mit, die IFAW-Positionen und Empfehlungen zu internationalen politischen Natur- und Artenschutzthemen gegenüber der deutschen Regierung, sowie bei internationalen Institutionen und Foren, bei relevanten Treffen, Konferenzen und Koalitionen zu vertreten.
- Sie verfolgen Entwicklungen der nationalen und internationalen Politik und unterstützen mit Ihren Kenntnissen über die Naturschutzprogramme und Projekte des IFAW fortlaufend unsere Positionen gegenüber den relevanten Ministerien, Behörden und Institutionen. Immer mit dem Ziel einer Kooperation und Beteiligung an finanziellen Förderprogrammen, wie beispielsweise dem Legacy Landscapes Fund, der Internationale Klimaschutzinitiative (IKI) und dem Blue Action Fund.
- Sie verfolgen die internationale politische Arbeit zur Bekämpfung von zoonotischen Pandemien und koordinieren die Beiträge des IFAW hierzu.
- Sie arbeiten an der Entwicklung von Kommunikationsplänen und der Erstellung von Pressematerialien mit und helfen bei der Organisation von kampagnenrelevanten Events.
- Sie unterstützen einen reibungslosen Informationsfluss zwischen den verschiedenen Abteilungen des IFAW.
Anforderungen
- Sie verfügen über ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium oder gleichwertige Erfahrung in einem einschlägigen Bereich.
- Bevorzugt wünschen wir uns mindestens zwei Jahre Berufserfahrung in der erfolgreichen Durchführung von Kampagnen oder einer ähnlichen Position.
- Sie haben die Fähigkeit zu strategischem Denken und zur Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Arbeitsplänen.
- Sie besitzen fundierte Kenntnisse der deutschen und internationalen Politiklandschaft und deren Entscheidungsprozesse (insbesondere in Bezug auf Natur- und Artenschutzpolitik) und wissen um politische Arbeitsweisen und Vorgänge.
- Sie beherrschen die deutsche und englische Sprache fließend in Wort und Schrift.
- Sie bringen Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Tier-, Natur- und Umweltschutz mit, sowie ein starkes Engagement für die Arbeit des IFAW.
- Sie haben bereits Erfahrungen in der Zusammenarbeit mit deutschen und europäischen politischen Institutionen, Nichtregierungsorganisationen und den Medien gesammelt.
- Ihre Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sind hervorragend. Sie besitzen die Fähigkeit, komplexe Sachverhalte mündlich und schriftlich in einfache und prägnante Botschaften umzuwandeln (einschließlich des Verfassens von Berichten, Briefing-Dokumenten, Fundraising-Vorschlägen usw.).
- Gute Projektmanagementfähigkeiten und die Fähigkeit, ein vielfältiges Arbeitspensum zu bewältigen und angemessene Prioritäten zu setzen.
- Kompetente IT- und Computerkenntnisse.
- Bereitschaft zu regionalen und internationalen Reisen.
- Umgang mit MS Office und Windows-Anwendungen.
